• Gross margins of at least 20%
• Privately owned and genuinely interested in selling
• Market leader / unique market

As an importer and distributor of chemical raw materials, ALAC serves as a bridge between foreign producers and North American factories. The company’s core competencies include sourcing proficiency, logistical capability, financial strength, marketing prowess and technical expertise.

ALAC has offices and staff in the US and China to facilitate and maintain its sourcing and sales efforts. The company typically represents foreign producers on an exclusive basis to distribute their products throughout the USA. Market information is regularly exchanged and new products are developed to meet the requirements of a highly valued customer base. By working with multiple producers across a broad but related product spectrum, ALAC is able to provide its customers with comprehensive raw material sourcing support.

The company works with global shipping lines to import cargoes that are warehoused and distributed directly to factories. Regional warehouses are located throughout the US, including a bulk storage terminal in Bayonne, NJ that serves as a depot for truck and rail shipments. Heavily vetted third party service providers reliably assist ALAC throughout this process, whether it be financing purchases, securing vessels, shipping raw materials, insuring cargoes, surveying shipments, warehousing product, delivering consignments, or insuring receivables.

Customers are provided with credit up to a limit approved by independent credit insurance. Their primary company contact is a member of our dedicated sales force, available to discuss material options, market conditions, regulatory and advocacy concerns and technical processing challenges. The company’s two sales directors are both on the board of the SPI; the largest and most prominent plastics institutional society in the USA. ALAC’s inimitable back office staff members vigilantly insure smooth order processing.
